I understand the observations were descriptive rather than flattery. Nonetheless, they are flattering descriptions and, as they are descriptions of my energy – me? – that is why I say they are heady. Who doesn’t like to hear that they are a bunch of good things. Or my spirit is, at least.

For someone who receives unfavourable readings, an understandable reaction would be to discount it as nonsense. (“I never believed in all that stuff anyway.”) Immediate rejection.
For someone who receives favourable readings, an opposite reaction would be understandable. (“Wow. I never knew. Tell me more.”) Immediate acceptance.
Both reactions are shallow, but I think people can be seduced by flattery, don’t you?
